Who are you paying to read your script?
Part of the reason we founded Rogue Agents was to fill the enormous credibility void in the script consulting business. When you review other consultants' credentials you are treated to vague titles such as "former story analyst" (no such executive position exists in the industry so you can assume that this means former intern or assistant) and "former reader" (a reader is a low level company employee paid to read and write coverage of scripts and is not part of the executive team or development process). Of course then there are the aspiring actors and screenwriters whose only credits are projects that you have never seen nor heard of. Oh, and you're paying a tidy sum for these services as well. What are you getting for that? You do not need useless script coverage, 20 pages line-by-line page notes, or a basic lesson on screenwriting that can be had from a $29.00 book.
